Hello Finsoc members!
Firstly, thank you for all the support to make 2006-07 a truly memorable
and succesful year for Finsoc.
In the past year we have ran the internship information evening,
promoted a number of investment banking and trading competitions and ran
the JP Morgan investment banking competition. We hope you have increased
your financial knowledge, formed links with industry and had some fun
through these events.
As we look forward to continuing to serve the student community into next year, we invite you to attend the 2007 AGM to be held at Monday 2nd July 6pm @ the Quad lawns.
If you are interested in being part of the executive team, please attach
a resume and send an email detailing the position and a little bit about
yourself (including year, stream) and why you would be great at the job. A reminder that for senior positions you will need previous experience in senior leadership roles in a society.

Training
Our summer internship program offers you an insight into our culture and working environment, plus the chance to work alongside some of the top people in the finance industry. The 9 week structured program combines education and training with important social and networking events. It is designed to allow you to demonstrate your potential within a practical work environment, offer you a challenging, professional experience filled with responsibilities, provide you with exposure to senior management, and allow you to familiarise yourself with the company. The program also shows us if you have what it takes to succeed in our demanding environment.
Top performers can expect to receive a graduate offer to join our global graduate training program the following year.
Application Details
UBS recruits across all disciplines. Applicants should be highly numerate and able to demonstrate an excellent record of extra-curricular and academic achievement with a minimum average result of High Credit. We are also looking for entrepreneurship, commercial edge, demonstrated interest in the financial markets, personal drive and first-rate interpersonal skills.
Summer intern applications are accepted via our website from penultimate year students to join our 9 week summer program commencing in early December 2007.
